The construction materials as well as their characteristics depend on the location and areas the staircase is in use. In external staircases, the influence of the atmospheric factors such as: humidity, rain and ice are important to take into account. The surfaces of the stairs must be roughened to prevent slippage.

Wood | Wooden stairs are most commonly used for interior staircases. We use only the highest quality of wood with perfection in our craftsmanship. For other wooden elements such as: handrails, steps, etc, we exclusively use laminate or glued interlocking joints.  Stairs made of wood can be stained, brushed, treated or painted with oil or varnish to match pre existing wood floors.

Steel | Steel stairs are used in particular for exterior stairs or modern style interior stairs.
These structures can be assembled and then covered with the material of choice (i.e. carpet, concrete, stone, rubber, etc.) Or, the metal stairs can be left as is with the decking made of the same sheet metal which can later be perforated, grilled or specially edged. You can also use other metals such as aluminum plate, stainless steel, bronze, brushed steel or varnished in RAL colors, as well as stainless steel grill.

Glass | Glass stairs are commonly used for interiors with modern style, particularly for their transparency and ability to reflect light. For security reasons, such stairs are usually made of shatterproof glass composed of several layers of glass separated by a transparent film for extra strength in the case of breakage. We do not recommend using transparent materials for stairs, as they can possibly lead to dizziness when in use. Usually the stair surfaces are roughened to prevent slippage. For the construction of glass stairs, one must hire a master glass worker specializing in the construction of glass.

Stone | Stone can be used to construct stairs as well. In this case, nature suggests the colors, shapes and patterns. Special attention must be paid to the quality of stone in the use of stairs. Similarly to glass stairs, layered stone is often used to construct stairs of this type in order to increase their strength in the case of a fracture or breakage; unless the steps are placed directly on a support structure.
